Founded in 2015 by Air Force Captain Christy Wise following an accident which resulted in the above-knee amputation of her right leg, the One Leg Up On Life Foundation's purpose is to glorify God and help children live life to the fullest by providing prostheses to those who cannot afford desperately needed limbs.
David Wise's PyeongChang Podium Challenge
"Every time I am on the podium, I will personally be donating 10% of my contest winnings, along with 10% of my sponsorship payouts to One Leg Up On Life. And I challenge you to give generously with me! So that when I stand, kids around the world can stand on new prosthetics." - David Wise, Olympic Gold Medalist, Four-Time X Games Gold Medalist (and Christy's brother!)
June 2017 Haiti Trip

In Memory of Carson Bird, Capt, USAF
My dear friend Carson Bird passed away following an amputation and continued battle with cancer. Carson and his wife Brit had plans to join on us on a trip to Haiti. My heart is breaking at the news. A few weeks before, Carson talked to me about his amazing "legacy" being with our organization. I could not have been more honored (although still heartbroken). So, OLUOL will be doing a special "Carson Bird Leg" for one of our upcoming trips. Of course it will be a running leg as I would want nothing less for an athlete like Carson. If you would like to show your support for Carson's wife and family, please note with your donation it's for the Carson Bird leg. Of course I still wish it was Carson going with me to Haiti but this will have to suffice on this side of heaven.
